Default WTB: 987.2 Boxster Spyder

I am in the market for a clean, original, low mileage 987.2 Boxster Spyder. Must have manual transmission, and sport exhaust. I am open to either LWB or sport seats. PCCBs are very desirable but not essential. Sport Chrono is desirable but not essential. Air conditioning is not essential. I like silver and black exteriors best, and I like red or black interiors, but will consider other interesting combinations. Leather is a big plus, the more the better. White exteriors remind me of the 911R and I like them, but my wife doesn't and I have to make some concessions to her. I do not want a highly modified car. It would be nice to buy in the next month, but I am not in a hurry and can afford to wait for the right car. Thanks for your attention and help!

If you don’t have to have air you could keep your eye on this one. It seems to check most of your boxes.

Good Luck, there isn’t a positive comment or adjective I could share that hasn’t been posted already. IMO it defines what a true sports car/driving experience should be.

Don’t get hung up on the Sport Chrono, it has very little impact on manual cars. I would also go for the LWB too, it genuinely improves the overall feedback/feel you get and takes a huge chunk of weight out of the car.

Marine Blue, thanks very much for your perspective. I love the LWBs and at 57 don't mind getting in and out of them, but my wife will hate them. She is great, so she says I can have whatever I want, but I am concerned it will drive me nuts if she doesn't lift herself over the bolsters....

Masergss, that is a great car. I like the minimal specification,. It looks like a really nice car and I will follow it.

I wouldn't obsess about bolster wear. They are easily replaceable under Porsche part numbers:

So squirrel new bolsters away, give yourself bolster-wedgies to heart's content, and then just replace the old with the new prior to selling the car.

Thanks, good advice! I really like those seats. I have a driver side Carrera RS fixed back bucket in my 993 and love it.

Ekam, I thought the Sport button was part of the Sport Chrono package, am I wrong about that? And yes, the Auto Climate Control and AC are good features for resale, but seldom needed (by me) in the Pacific Northwest, particularly in a convertable. I'm in Seattle.
