Cayman S won't start
I'm trying to start my 2007 Cayman S (987) that I have stupidly left sitting still for years now (not outside). The battery was replaced, I emptied out the fuel tank and put new fuel in, but it seems to have fuel pump issues. Attaching a hose to the fuel pump and cranking the engine doesn't push any fuel out. Pushing open the fuel rail schrader valve in the engine compartment with a screwdriver, just makes gas trickle out, there isn't much pressure.
I've tried shorting the fuel pump relay n.8 but it made no difference.
Are there any serviceable parts in the top part of the fuel sender? (circled in yellow)
I've read the pelicanparts fuel pump guide for help but there are slight differences from the boxster (for example I only have one hose coming out of the tank instead of two)
The car cranks and spraying starter fluid into the air filter box it seems to want to start, but it never does. I've bought new spark plugs, but before buying a new fuel pump I wanted to be sure there isn't a clogged filter somewhere that's easy to clean. thanks
