Default Air temperature sensor for intake manifold, 987 base

Hi, 987 2007 base model. My engine fan is running almost all of the time, not at a constant speed, but continuously ramping up and down. Ambient air temp is currently 15 deg max, Fan turns off when I turn off the ignition. Does anyone know where the air temp sensor for the intake manifold is located, Pelican parts has a DYI, but I think it must be for a 986, not a 987.

Thanks in advance, Craig.

I'm just getting in this thread out of curiosity. It wouldn't seem logical to me to have engine temps registered through the intake air temp sensor. Unless the sensor was located right over the heads.

Hi, yes, according to PET and everything else I can read, the sensor is meant to be located over the heads, but it's not there. I have a picture, but can't seem to be able to upload it.
