2015 CGTS values
Hi all
In the market for a 15/16 CGTS and noticing at least on CarGurus that most of the lower mileage 2015 cars are showing as overpriced on their instant market by a few thousand $ and don’t seem to be moving but the 2016 seem to all be around market value according to CarGurus IMV.
How accurate is cargurus as an indicator to value.

Not very, IMO. If most cars are showing as overpriced, the calculator is wrong. It's kind of like KBB - useful to some degree, but not necessarily very close to the real numbers.

The best part of CarGurus is knowing how long its been for sale and the price history. Most dealers seem to aim high to start, and start dropping the price after 30 days or so.

I know of 2 very well optioned '15 CGTS that were for sale here in the classifieds. Both asked $69K
Both were bought by dealers for asking within days.
Now for sale at 10 - 15% more.

Make sure to take a GOOD drive in the GT4. I recently swapped my Spyder for a good hill climb in a GT4 and enjoyed it but both the owner and I concluded the Spyder for daily driving was the one to have. This may be the case of your CGTS as well. The GT4's a RAW noisy little GT car which is cool if that's what you want. I found it even noisier than the GT3's I was looking at.

A few of the reasons i was considering a GT4 was that i was looking for a little more HP and also my rides tend to be a few hours of spirited back road driving for a 100 to a 150 miles on average.
I’m also seriously considering a a Spyder since it’s almost if not equally compliant as a CGTS but the Spyder has the advantage of having that extra HP.

I appreciate your input. I enjoy my CGTS tremendously and to me it’s one of the most fun street compliant sports cars out there.

Have fun on your hunt. You may just end up right back where you are with your CGTS but you'll have some fun in the process.
