I got my windows tinted this week. I went to US Tint, which I believe is a national company.

A long time a go, a friend bought a brand new black Jaguar and he got his windows tinted the lightest possible tint and I loved it because it looked very "factory" vs aftermarket. So, I got 50% value (which means it lets 50% of the light in) and the tint is ceramic so it is supposed to reduce the heat that can pass thru. Time will tell if that is true. My only complaint is that I have to keep the windows closed for 5 days and I miss my open air driving at night - dam 1st world problems.

Depending on how much backlight there is, the windows look either dark or light.
