Sold the 991 bought back the 986...
I had a chance to buy back my 2003 986 I had sold 10 years ago to buy a 997 Carerra. I had decided after 5 years and 15,000 miles I wasn't driving it enough to justify the cost. I was able to buy back my old 986 which I bought new. The previous owner had kept it in very good condition.I'm going to mod the car starting with a maxflo muffler Fabspeed. Also needs a clutch & flywheel, I'll do the IMS bearing at that time.
Pretty excited to have my old car back. It's not as sophisticated as the 981, but there's something I like about the simplicity of the 986.

Nice to get an old flame back . Second time round is special ! I know what you mean about the simpler older stuff.
My first Porsche was a Red 944 S2 . After many others i came back to where i started and appreciate much better now .
Sometimes better to drive a nice cheaper classic Porsche with honest feedback . Congrats.
