Default PDK gear oil change (not clutch fluid)

Has anyone DIY'd the gearbox oil on the PDK in a 981 or 987.2? I had the dealer do the clutch fluid, since it requires PIWIS, but figure the gearbox part should be DIY'able. I'll probably also go with Redline or another non-OEM fluid.

Easy job. We use the Driven Go 75w90 gear lube in all our PDK race cars with years of excellent results. Make sure to use a fluid with the proper GL-5 rating and LSD additive if you have a LSD.

Nevermind, i found it. For future use by others, the PDK fill quantity (gear oil, not clutch) is 2.95 liters.

I'll try to put one together (which might be worth what you pay )

Went with Driven 75w90 without LS additive since I have an open diff. 4 quarts to be safe. The factory manual shows 2 drain plugs for the trans fluid, one on the diff itself and one on the transaxle. Only 1 fill plug.

Here is a technical guide we've put together for the PDK service:

That appears to be for the clutch fluid rather than the gear oil (it calls for the Pentosin FFL3 DCT fluid rather than 75 w 90 gear oil). For the gear oil, the service manual I have says to remove the diff drain plug and a drain plug next to the trans pan, and fill them back via a fill plug further back near the diff. Approx. 3 liter capacity, rather than the 5 liter capacity in the clutch reservoir. Does that sound right? I already had the dealer do the clutch fluid change since it requires PIWIS.

The gear fluid change is pretty straightforward. Just wanted to share the PDK side procedure.
