I have both a 987.2 and a 981 Spyder. Plenty of extra room in the 981! I’m 6’4...

Im 6'2" with 34" inseam and 35.5 inch sleeves. I had both a 986 S and a 981 CS. No matter what you did with the seat adjustments, the 986S put me closer to the steering wheel and the pedals.

I like that in my 987.2 track car puts me tighter into the wheel... I even move in some. The 981 Spyder, if I move the seat all the way back, I can barely work the pedals properly they’re so far away. The 986 was just too tight for me. Could drive one, but not great.

I'm six three and my dealership would not sell me a 987 because of my height. A 981 definitely has more leg room but also depends on what seat option you choose.

Agree with above.

I had a 986 and last fall went cross country to pick up my new 981. Couple thousand miles later, happy to say the interior including the footwells feel so much larger and more spacious. No crowded feeling like the 986.
