Default Help with offset

Hey all, Im currently running stock 19s on my 14 Cayman S but was considering upgrading to 19" OZ Leggeras . Can anyone recommend a size and offset to get close to the GT4 stance?

The offsets are different on the two cars so it's hard to say exactly what you need to do by comparing the GT4 to the S. I can tell you adding 5-7mm to the stock offset on your S will bring the wheel almost, but not fully flush with the fender. If the OZ offset is greater than 7mm (which I doubt, TireRack offers them and they are pretty conservative) then it will likely look a bit pokey.

I haven't checked the exact offsets, but BBS CH-Rs in 19inch were pretty perfect on my 2015 CGTS and fit perfectly on my 2012 Cayman R. IIRC they are a -6 from stock.

I too don't understand what the OP is after. If he wants to make the wheels flush with the fenders, he can always add spacers to bring the wheels outward. As a general rule, the greater the positive offset, the closer the wheel gets to the suspension. In other words, a wheel with ET57, if everything else is equal, will sit 7 mm closer to the suspension than a wheel with ET50.

I recently changed the wheels on my 2015 BS from F: 8x20 ET57/R: 9.5x20 ET45 to F: 8.5x20 ET57/R: 10x20 ET50. The new front wheels have the same offset as the old but 0.5" (12.25mm) wider. This means the wheel will be 6.125mm (12.25mm x 0.5) closer to the fender. The new rear wheel is also 0.5" wider but has 5mm more offset. This means it will be closer to the fender by 1.125mm (6.125mm - 5mm).

Hope this helps.
