If you post the Vin # the members here could get a good look at the original build sheet and the build sheet would also show us the MSRP.

Also, if possible post the link to the add your looking at.

Other factors that would affect the price:

Are the tires fresh or are they just barely at CPO minimum requirements.

Brake pad and rotor condition. Depending on how the car was driven you maybe due for a brake job.

Service History - have all the annual services been completed and when is the next major service due.

Does the the car have a clean CarFax and is it accident free ?

Does the car have a clean over rev report if it’s a manual trans ?

Is it a private or dealer sale ?

How many previous owners ?

The in service date.

I assume this is the car your looking at:

https://livermore.porschedealer.com/...ne+Red+1854925

CarFax actually only shows 1owner and that the 40k mile service has been done:

https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistor...AB2A85FK180068

The car is an exceptional color ( Carmine Red is really nice ) IMO and seems to have been properly maintained. The in service date was July 2014 so there’s a little more that 2 years left on the CPO.

Great build with PTV and X73 suspension.

My personal opinion is around $70K. I base that on what’s currently out there in the market -approximately 22 CGTS’ s listed on Car Gurus.

My my personal experience has been if the car is fairly priced or slightly above you better grab it If it’s the car you really want - the good clean ones go quick.

Also, for a data point my dealer offer me $65K ( sticker on my car was $90K ) for my 2016 CGTS with 12k miles on it -I was considering trading it on a CPO GT4 he had but I didn’t act quick enough and missed our on the GT4.

Certainly reasonable. Still, you've got to negotiate.

I have a very similarly-equipped 2015 Boxster GTS that I purchased four months ago with 38k miles. It also had the 40k service done and was CPO. After a very length and pianful negotiation process, I ended up getting it for $67,500 OTD - believe the sale price was somewhere around $63k. It was by far the lowest-price GTS in the country at the time, and just happened to be five miles from me. Assume the lower price due to higher mileage and perhaps the orange interior, which I understand isn’t for everyone, but with the agate grey exterior, it was the exact car I was looking for. Had been on the dealer lot for two months.

I was going to say mid to high $60s seems appropriate. And, as others have said, this one looks well cared for. CR and $99k MSRP are value boosters for sure.

I went in to see the car a while ago. Lots of wear and tear on the car, windshield was cracked, wheels were damaged, swirls all over the car like its been run through gas station car wash, one of the side view mirrors has deep incisions and has been poorly painted over ...some other minor interior stuff as well. Whomever bought this car did not care for it at all. The dealership wouldn't negotiate the price and even guarantee fixing all the stuff. The guys was like, well this is wear and tear. They said they would fix the wheels and that's about it. My major concern is the previous owner did not seem to care for the car and drove almost 30k miles, dont want to overpay for something like that.

Personally I’m not seeing well cared for cars with clean CarFax, up to date service histories, CPO and nicely option cars selling for less than $70K plus.

I found this low option 2016 CGTS for $65,500

That’s sad they someone would let a car get beat like that and it’s even sadder that a Porsche dealer would display a car like that. I guess that’s why it was priced below what I considered to be below where the market for CGTS’s currently is.

Good luck in your search, be picky and get what you want but when you find a clean example you need to pull the trigger right away.

Thanks! I was in fact looking for an S, not a GTS. But the S model availability is on the low end in my area and this was a short drive from where i am, so went to check it out. I think mid 60s is where this car should be with all the wear and tear and ~30k miles. The other GTS seem to have lower miles for the same price. I saw another carmine red with 12K miles for the same price on CPO.
