In the market for a 987.2
Hello to all, I would like to thank each one of those ahead of time for your input and advice!
I am looking at purchasing my first Porsche and have had my eye on a 2012 Cayman S for a good while now and I believe now is the time to pounce on a deal. This might sound a bit taboo but I am not a fan of manual (a lost art-form) transmissions so PDK is what I am going for.
Questions:
Was Tiptronic an option on the 987 or was it only manual or PDK?
Is there any specific things to look for when distinguishing between PDK and Tiptronic (paddle shifters / shift **** / etc.) I should look out for?
Is Sports Chrono worth it?
Thanks again to all those for your time. Cheers!

PDK was the only option and from what I hear the Sport Chrono is a big plus with PDK as it creates faster shifts and more aggressive shift points (higher RPM).
Good luck with your search, they are awesome cars!

No more Tiptronics after 2008. The PDK that replaced it is far superior in that it is a clutch based transmission that feels more like a manual.
Paddle vs steering wheel toggles is a personal preference, and that too changed from model year to model year.
