Default What kind of glue will work

I have a 2005 boxer S, The mirror on the visor Has a pivot point that is plastic. Mine broke and I was wondering what type of glue will work on that plastic?

It helps to use a parts diagram to indicate which piece you're talking about.

Default Visor

It's the visor inside the car with the mirror and light on the driver side it's the plastic part that pivots the light out

Ah, right, missed the visor mention. Which part then? The lid that covers the light, via a hinge (#12) or the corner pivot that hold the whole visor (which will be the whole visor assembly #11)?

It may be more cost effective to pick up a used visor in the appropriate trim color and use that for parts.

I mention this because the plastics there aren't going to respond all that well to adhesives, nor stand up to regular use after that.

Indeed - I removed the duplicate and hopefully can find where this belongs.. anyone know the series# for his boxter? Never mind - found it by looking at the parts diagram - looks like 986 or 987.

Holy Schimoly on Porsche parts price - $721 for a sunvisor? That almost qualifies as rape.

Rhino glue would be a good contender

Stay away from gorilla glue. Overhyped and overpriced IMO

Depending on type of plastic, almost no over-the-counter glues will work--at least for long. Polyethylene and polypropylene are always difficult.

Yup.
Take a piece of the plastic to a plastic fabrication sales shop and they'll sell you the particular product you need and tell you how to use it.

Use a soldering iron to melt it together?
