Default SOUL | Boxster / Cayman Bolt-On X-Pipe With Tips

Love the sound of your factory rear exhaust on your Boxster / Cayman but want to change the style of your exhaust tips? Soul Performance Products has an easy to install solution to increase aesthetics and tone with a bolt-in X-pipe for the best possible flow with tips of your choosing. The cast X-pipe smooths exhaust pulses and lends to a more refined exhaust note.

+ Fits all 987 / 981 / 718 Porsche Boxster / Cayman vehicles with factory exhaust or Porsche Sport Exhaust / PSE (2005+)
+ Direct bolt on installation
+ Cast T304L stainless steel X-pipe
+ Variety of 3.5″ tip options

The factory Boxster / Cayman “T” tip section allows for exhaust gasses to crash into each other when coming out of the muffler before exiting the tips. This cost cutting method creates turbulence and hurts performance. By incorporating a smooth, cast X-pipe into the rear section this allows for a more efficient flow path from the exhaust gases. A small increase in gas mileage during cruising and more power when accelerating aggressively should be expected.

CONSTRUCTION: A cast T304L stainless steel x-pipe is used for a smooth inner wall and clean “X” section for maximum flow. Choose from a number of single wall stainless tips (slash cut or straight cut) or chrome double wall tips in a number of finishes to personalize your Porsche. Every order is rigorously quality-checked prior to shipping.

LIFETIME WARRANTY: Enjoy your Soul exhaust components with confidence on both the street and track as they are covered by our Lifetime Warranty! Our team will quickly work with you to resolve any questions or issues that you may have.

I'm interested. What are the differences in performance and sound between the single wall construction and the double wall? Does the X-pipe make the exhaust sound quieter or louder than the stock "T" pipes?

Can any Rennlisters with these on a 981 S with PSE share the experience?

Very nice looking product. I’ve been thinking about adding an X-pipe to my Carnewal-modded mufflers for optimum sound and flow.

While the effect may be barely noticeable, the dual wall tips have more material (two layers with an air buffer imbetween) and could act as sound insulators so they may be quieter. Performance should be the same regardless of tip choice.

Volume will be ever so slightly greater, more than anything you will notice a smoother exhaust note as you are reducing turbulence.

Thank you! We wanted to be sure to offer multiple tip options. We can also do custom logos on the single wall satin and brushed variants for a small fee - or no logos at all.

Here are the weights of our tips (with tip rings and mounting hardware - no X-pipe) alone:

Straight Cut Single Wall - 1.4 lbs
Slash Cut Single Wall - 1.35 lbs
Chrome Double Wall - 1.65 lbs

Here are photos of a 718 install with our dual wall tips. Fitment is aggressive.

Here are our slash cut single wall tips in a brushed finish (fitment is customizable):

Are the tips on the chrome versions adjustable? I’d prefer to not have them stick out much further than the bumper.

Also, can the double wall chrome variants be ordered plain with no logos?

Thanks

You have around a half inch of depth to play with, and unfortunately we only have them with logos. If you wanted single wall we can make them however you want.

Nice looking piece. Not certain about its value proposition, but then again, some enterprising guy is selling $600 seat protectors for Porsche buckets, so why not.
