Default 987 Spyder folding bucket seat protectors

After having 3 of these cars all with LWB seats, there is finally a solution for wear on the outside edge of these seats.
Crazy Eddie who originally made a much nicer solution for the new LWB (like in GT4 and 991), now has a super nice solution for the GT2 folding buckets.
I installed 2 sets today on my Spyder and my GT3RS. Took less than an hour to install all 4 covers!!! Here's some pics:

$500/pair.
Much cheaper than repairing or replacing your seat!

Those are really nice!. The pricing is the only thing that has held me back. I already have some less costly (albeit not nearly as nice) seat protectors which have done their job perfectly and I keep finding better ways to spend $500 .

Those recaro ones don't come close to doing as good a job of protecting, and frankly look odd..if that's what you have. I've had a couple sets and took them off because they looked way to "boy racer" for such a car. To each their own!

The set I picked up were made by a fellow Rennlister 7 years ago, when new they matched the alcantara but have since faded. I’m not sure if that’s what you’re referring to but, not really boy racer but not nearly as nice as Eddy’s.

Thank you Steve for your kind words
Beautiful cars deserve beautiful seat covers ( covers that are not noticeable ) That is the key
Protection without detection

Hi Ashfin
They are expensive
But they cost a lot to make ....
That is real OEM grade leather, and OEM stitching ... Not rat fur
And its full protection against rubbing the leather of fraying the thread on the french seam
And it's as if its not there .... The EdGuard.... "Protection without detection !! ":
It's hard to tell there is even a cover there... People pay this much to have their car detailed once !
See how shiny the leather has become from rubbing ?
Not to mention how it looks
But I hear ya ... to each his own
Best regards
Ed

Actually I think the pricing for your protectors is very fair when you consider material and labor costs. I haven’t pulled the trigger primarily because my funds have been focused on the recently purchased Targa and seat protectors aren’t a priority yet. I will eventually pick up a set though, once I finish the Targa restoration.

By the way, I’m pretty careful getting in/out of the seats and I have learned a technique which really doesn’t cause contact with the bolster on the drive side as can be seen in the close up picture below. It’s the passenger seat I’m worried about.
