Default New Spyder Owner

Although I took delivery a few weeks ago, I finally had a chance to drive my new(to me) 987 Spyder. This was DaveGee's Spyder and I was fortunate to take its stewardship. Both Dave and the original owner took excellent care of the car and it has been in So Cal since new. Dave was fantastic throughout the whole process and I can not say enough good things about him.

I had a '12 Boxster S that I thoroughly enjoyed but in the back of my mind, I wanted a Spyder. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. Now the hardest part is waiting for spring to come and more days like today so I can enjoy my Spyder.

Fantastic choice of P-cars my friend. I'm a repeat offender so you get the idea how good your car is. Congrats!

Boy, does he have you snowballed! The guy is a complete scoundrel

During Dave's ownership I had the pleasure of seeing your car on multiple occasions and following it on a long and spirited drive. You have a real gem on your hands!

Anxious to hear some comparisons to your '12 Boxster S once you get more seat time in the Spyder. Congrats and many happy miles.

Congrats on buying a great Spyder! Wait until you have more time behind the wheel and really connect with the car on some back roads. That feeling of amazement at how well the car handles through the corners never really goes away.

You were fortunate to find a great seller, Dave is a good guy. Sadly he decided a Targa was a better choice, but everyone is entitled to a mistake now and again.

Enjoy in good health

Thanks for the kind words! The Spyder is a special car and I feel fortunate to now own one. After years of 911 ownership exclusively, I finally get it.

Regarding the Boxster S vs Spyder, I will wait for a proper drive to address this comparison.

Enjoy, I have had mine for almost 6 1/2 years and every time I even think of selling it I go for a drive and realize it is a keeper. My wife ( of over 50 years) and I have been all over the country in it many times pulling the little trailer. Can't say enough about sport bucket seats and the Spyder

What a great acquisition. A well cared for 987.2 spyder... and to add a great introductory shot. The car is really a hidden gem. It's a bargain compared to all other cars out there in the market that do not have nearly as much connection and precision straight out of the box.
