So what is the telltale when trying to quickly differentiate between the two? 718 has a marker light at the side of the rear bumper cover? Shape of the front chin? At first, second and third glance they look almost identical to me.

I knew immediately. But I agonized over whether I wanted the naturally aspirated 981 or better looking 718. They are both ingrained in my brain so I can differentiate at a glance.

Front bumper immediately gave it away and the rear taillights sealed it. Were the capture brighter you'd be able to see one "fin" in the side scoop rather than multiple in the 718.
