GT Silver vs Agate grey.

GT Silver vs Agate grey.
What would you go for on a 718 Cayman with black wheels?
The agate looks more sinister, especially with black wheels. However, the GT Silver appears to be the classier choice and would probably be easier to keep clean.
Fwiw the car will have a ppf on front end.

Gt silver will date better so go with that if you're 50:50. But there is of course no wrong answer.
Or play this game. Toss a coin and settle on that one. Think about this for a week and see how you feel.

I had GT Silver. Best color to keep looking nice. For me it got really boring. I like agate. Having said all that between those two I would probably choose silver for the clean factor.
Can't go wrong either way.

I'd get GUARDS F'N RED!!
Sorry... I can't bring myself to care between any of the 50 shades of gray, metallic or otherwise.

My dream BGTS was silver* with the amber/agate interior. Settled for agage with a full leather garnet interior.
*Admittedly my favorite silver is plain ol' rhodium.

Yeah... I'll be honest and admit that I thought long and hard about ordering Agate with the Amber/Agate. You get a pass on gray with a brightly coloured interior on a convertible.

I would have gone GTSilver before I owned Agate. Now I would go Agate. I actually think it looks better with platinum wheels though.

My 981 Cayman was Agate and my current 991.2 is GT Silver. The GT is a classic Porsche (and German) color. It certainly is the easier to keep clean. Agate is a bit classier looking and flows nicely on the Cayman's shape. If I had to choose one, while they're both great colors, I'd probably lean ever so slightly to the Agate (maybe). BTW, I'm really not a fan of black wheels, particularly with the Agate as it give too much of a monochromatic look.

The GT Silver with Black rims was my top of the list color combo with Agate Grey and platinum rims as choice number 2. I waited and waited and finally a agate grey and platinum poped up with the options I wanted, and after seeing it in person fell in love. The darkness is a bit understated, but cleaned up and in the sun still pops nicely. I know this is on a 981 not the 718 but just my thoughts that you definitely cannot go wrong! Definitely a bit tougher to keep clean, but some how it still hides dirt really well (100x better than my last black car).

I'm not a grey/silver person but both are nice choices. GT silver is the only silver I'd consider and I think it would look better with the black wheels.
That being said agate is beautiful with a red or orange interior . No bad choice here, good luck!

Oh, just for your info, the Agate color has subtle undertones of brown/tan under certain lighting conditions. It surprised me at first on my 981 Cayman GTS but I actually decided that I liked it.
