Uh, not sure why you think a well respected Pioneer navigation unit that is way more advanced than the PCM option on a 981 is a Toyota... maybe you don't know much of the limitations of the factory PCM from 2016 😄

Besides, Porsche thought enough about it to offer a faceplate that works with aftermarket options like the Pioneer. 😉

Because for me the interior is a sacred place where things should be OEM only!
We all are crazy in our own way!

Same here... I can't bring myself to remove the perfectly integrated PCM... what happens to the steering wheel buttons, the look, etc. my backup license plate frame is doing okay right now, thankfully.

I think we can all learn from Godly's experience...........we want to go "OEM" using factory parts only:

I am buying those harness it is custom made to work with OEM camera and PCM 3.1 + you need coding to active camera.
p.s no need any extra video modules just OEM camera, harness, coding = joy!

Those are camera holders, you need all of them:
Holder 1: 981-642-222-00
Holder 2: 991-505-899-00-1e0
Holder 3: 991-505-901-00

Also you need to cut hole or get bumper with camera hole.
Next, we're going to need an "OEM" style harness:

Got harness today. Express shipping took 2 days from malaysia to europe.
Total price was: $218 (harness only $150)
Tomorrow install.
As i was instructed i need to connect 4 cables, program and ready to go.
Now, we're needing a Reverse Image Emulator/Rear View Camera Activator and Rear View Camera Interface Module (non-OEM):
Now i have ordered:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orig...801828512.html
and
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orig...803823024.html

Have no idea when i get them.. But maybe those things will help me to connect camera.

As harness and camera already installed lol
Good intentions; but if we want to install a rear view and/or front view camera system in one of our late model, non-equipped vehicles we will need some sort of interface module along with camera, cables, etc. to complete the package.

Now need to make BOSE connectors as other way there will be no sound (those 2 rounds are BOSE), *** actually i don't need any extra harness for sound i just need to relocate them..

As my cable missing those 2 pins

Project gone wild but i will reach OEM results!

What is that box?

Edit: Never mind that question. I see it's one of two items coming from AliExpress. You are a gutsy man going to this extent. Good luck.

Not to highjack GodLy's thread, but wanted to share my experience.....

While traveling to the Florida Keys, I decided to stop by for a visit at Nav-TV. Met up with Tiago Sperandio whom I had been exchanging emails with, and was pleasantly surprised by being the recipient of a complete tour of the Nav-TV facility; and was also introduced to the Owner of the company whom shared my enthusiasm of doing the install myself vs paying to have it done.

I decided to purchase the PCM 3.1 XG-CAM: https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT375/pcm31-xg-cam.html

and in short time, was out the door having experienced what I would consider some of the best customer service I have ever received.

Several members of the staff discussed my installation, and offered to answer any tech support questions I may have once I get started with the install.

Again, just wanted to recommend a stand up company for anyone considering installing a rear or front and rear camera system.

If only there was a (easy, viable) solution to those that cannot update to the right PCM software version... (early '13 builds)...

Do the lines move with steering wheel angle to show predicted path of travel in reverse?

Have not done the install yet; so not sure on your inquiry. Based on my research, I would recommend contacting Nav-TV for a definite answer:

@GodLY,
I have 2016 CGTS with 95B.980.551.H installed from factory. The camera quality is not very impressive. We also just got 718 BS which camera is much better and they are using the new camera which replaces the old one. same number but has "L" instead of "H" 95B.980.551.L.
Have you looked into this?
