Flat Tire Removal - Hub Maintenance?
I had a flat this week and pulled off the tire to take to the tire shop. First time I have removed a tire on this 2014 Boxster S since I bought it last year. Has about 9000 miles on it now. I know hubs never look pristine, but this one, considering it is not nor has ever been a daily driver, appears more corroded than I expected. Should I clean it up a bit (and the others)? Naval jelly or ??? Appreciate any tips, thanks.

Three Wheelin'
Normal, just surface rust. If you want to clean it up a bit, go to it with a wire brush particularly on the outsides of the three protruding plates. These actually make contact with the wheel to keep them centered on the hub.

To the OP: I stole your picture and used in my thread in this forum titled "Spacer removal-countersunk screws don't want to come out". I did so because I didn't want to high jack your thread by posting something totally off topic but I should have asked for your approval fist. I apologize.
