8k a useful increase then.

Agree no space between the GTS and Spyder for another model... especially as folks adjust to Boxsters costing more than Caymans. But like the GT3, I would expect any “Touring version” to be a no cost option rather than a separate model so they don’t need space. Don’t want the manual roof nor speedster style humps? No problem but same price.

^^^ visual example of normal roof 981 boxster with Spyder/GT4 bits...

Any chance of getting a better pic of the rocker graphic? I'd like to put a set of those on my Spyder and I'd like to see just what areas you covered.

Ok. another pic below... basically we’ve covered the rocker panel from inside the wheel arch and under the car. Suggest sticking matt Expel stealth (for protection n to give it a plastic look like the front lip) to the black vinyl piece before computer cutting the curve which is loosely based on the door curve above. We positioned the sticker loosely in line with the front lip and parallel to the bottom of the door like the PORSCHE stripe with the start of the curve under the intake. If I do it again I’d probably place the start of the curve closer to the start of the door curve.

The reason we did the curve (rather than run it all the way along the rocker) was to emphasize the rear wheel arch and it works well with the rest of the curves on the car. If the sticker covers that part it looks more like a sticker as it gets quite high on the rocker panel and less like a plastic piece. Also looks a bit “flat”- hard to describe.

Good luck.

Tach indicates 7600, fuel cut is actually 7800, tuned I redline at 8100

so if the factory cuts the fuel 200RPM above the indicated redline, the new Spyder could actually rev to 8200...

Thanks a ton. I'm all over it. That looks fantastic. And I've already got some matte black graphics going so the addition should look great.

There is definitely a non-GT 6 cylinder Boxster coming, seems like a reasonable addition to the already impressive selection in your sig

Have it on good authority that another 6cyl Boxster/Cayman variant is following the Spyder/GT4. Not sure about timeline or specifics RE: engine for this other variant, but its definitely in the pipeline. Not surprising, I suppose, as we have all seen the videos of the mules.

But I am just another dude on the internet, so take it for what its worth!

Based on photos... this is not a Touring version.
Its one of the below:
1. GTS/S replacement for the 982.2
2. The rumored 718/6 like the old 914/6
Either way it is a lower version and not a version of the GT4/Spyder like some thought.

Either way... glad to hear the 6 is making a comeback for the masses.

This is *exactly* what I want.

I was able to con my wife into accepting a PDK 991.2 to accompany my manual 981 BGTS. Wonder if she'd notice if I swapped the 991.2 for a PDK 718/6 Cayman.

I'll probably just swap the 981 BGTS for a 718/6 Boxster and keep the 911.

I did have a mate that got a new superbike every couple of years but always in black. "Is that a new bike darling?" No no, I just washed it.
