I'm not a big fan of the humps, but could certainly live with them if it is a NA 6. It's the side intakes in the most recent Spyder pics I don't care for.

Like the 981, expect the bumpers between the Spyder and GT4 to be shared. The final 982 Spyder might not be named GT4, but the gap between the GT4 and Spyder seems to be closing.

I sure hope they put a Spyder wing on.. not a good look with the 718 shelf imo.

Looks a little soft or subdued.

Any cleaning ladies have thoughts on when it might be introduced?

It's just a mule.... Front and rear bumpers, spoilers and other design details are most likely completely different from what will be released for production.

987 Spyder announced Nov. 2009 released Feb 2010 as a 2011 model
981 Spyder announced April 2015 released Oct 2015 as a 2016 model

Four years from 981 puts the announced date into 2019 but I am guessing end of September 2018 announce date.

I am sure the cleaning lady knows by now.

if that is the case the NA engine would not meet new euro emissions , my guess this is a good beta test for pag to start putting turbos on spyder n gt4 to see reception before having to do this on rest of gt line up
gt3 forum has a thread about a person in Dubai buying 991.2 gt3 this summer and then trying to import to Germany at the end of this yr but is being told he won’t be able to register it bc wontnpass new emission regs

Ha! That puts it right at my original guess of RRVI.

I hope that Porsche differentiates it by making it an AX / canyon carving monster. I’d have no problem with a limited top speed in exchange for enhanced acceleration for this niche. Porsche please leave the tall gearing to the GT4 for the track.

From what I know, a NA 4.0 litre engine is registrable also under the new, stricter EU emission standard, provided it is equipped with emission filter system which eliminates microparticles which are typically emitted by direct fuel injection systems (DFI). Downside of the filter: Compromises performance.

100% agree. Make it so, Porsche.

Side scoops on Spyder = more air required to cool the TURBO engine?

Adding all the GT4 bits may be the trade off for going turbo.....
