Default PTS Cayman R with 6 speed and buckets on BAT

not my car, but a rare PTS Cayman R with 6 speed and bucket seats:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...he-cayman-r-3/

since Speed Yellow was a standard color on the Cayman R, who knows what color this PTS yellow is? Yes the wheels were painted Guards Red on the build sheet

OMG! This is a beautiful R.

This looks like Speed Yellow to me, and with the Guards Red wheels really on of a kind. It's darker, more orange, than the new Racing Yellow. Love it.

The seller confirmed in the comments that the color was listed as speed yellow on the build sheet. Maybe it’s just the wheels that were PTS? Not sure it even works that way..

I wish I could get this car, not always a fan of yellow but it works here if the wheels were gunmetal

Yuck. That cannot be un-seen.
Those wheels are going to kill the sale.

here is the build sheet from BAT. Speed yellow was a standard color on the 987.2 Cayman R, and it was a PTS color on the 987.2 Spyder which I currently own

It is Speed Yellow, quirk in the ordering system caused the order to be resubmitted after speed yellow was dropped from color choices. so, it had to be ordered again under PTS!

yuck it up all you want and make all of the jokes you want
but I'll put money on the owner of this car against all of you

cheers

No jokes from me, speed yellow is my favorite color, and own a 996 gt3 and 987.2 Spyder both in speed yellow. Thanks for sharing the back story on this car when ordered

Agreed.

While I loathe those painted wheels that is nothing. If I wanted a Cayman R I'd be all over that one. Slap on some different wheels and you have a dream car.

Whoever detailed that car and took the interior pics did a phenomenal job. That interior is so clean it's almost pornographic.

Heck, I like it, though I'm wanting a peridot green of the CR. My wife was just talking how much she hated yellow cars...

So if anybody has a peridot green they want to sell or knows of one, let me know and I'll leave this one alone!

Wow... I’ve been waiting for a Speed Yellow R to pop up for a long time.... Debating trading in my S for it.

Pretty decent Cayman R. I've never seen that one around here in San Antonio. Obviously the guys at the local dealership should know it well. Bought my Cayman R here and traded it back to the dealer, along with my '11 Spyder. Other than mine, I've only seen a Peridot green one running in the wild here, although I've seen a few at the dealer getting serviced. $50k would be a fair price. The wheels would look better black.
