Spent 2 months making a 2-minute video with my 981CS; let me show you it.
Inspired by the Alfa Romeo commercials from this past year's Super Bowl, decided on making my own video showcasing the car and SoCal without making it look like an actual commercial. I have no idea if I succeeded, but I'm sure you'll tell me. I originally had grand plans on getting footage all over the place but hot damn, making videos is a lot of work! Much harder than photography.
It started off as just borrowing a GoPro and doing it myself, but then it quickly snowballed into a new action cam and accessories, new slider, and asking a few friends to help out in exchange for dinners & fame. If you're familiar with the area where we got drone footage, you probably won't be surprised that someone called the cops on us. In our defense, we looked at restricted areas beforehand but apparently missed something. Fortunately we got away with just a written warning.
Definitely can improve on it and may do another one with the M5 but for now, this definitely scratched the creative itch.

Trust me, you succeeded -- and then some! Wow. Super high quality production value. Loved every second of it and, yes, I can imagine the time and work that must go into making something like this. Thank you for sharing. Great job and keep us apprised of future efforts.

Very nice visuals. I would include more engine sound, this car can sing not just dance!

Well done! The reflection shot off the back glass going through the tunnel was the highlight for me.
The intro music reminded me of the intro credit music on Downton Abbey. I got a little tickled at that.

Thanks! I actually did get some engine sounds but the quality wasn't nearly as good and I didn't opt to buy a more expensive mic, figuring I'm not going to use it that often. Also had plans on sticking a mic on the bumper over the exhaust but ran into the same issue. If I do another video with my E39 M5, I'm going to focus more on the car itself and its sounds.

Love it.
Great Job !!
I have a couple of friends who are into photography and one has a cool drone.
I really must see if I can do something like this with my Spyder.
Look forward to seeing your next instalment :-)

Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Reminds me just how special I know these cars are. I've been a car nut and gearhead all my life, turning 60 in 2 months, and the naturally aspirated 981 cars to me are the best sports car experience to be had, period. Can you spend more money? Sure. Might it be a special car if you do? Sure. Does more horsepower go faster? Of course. I don't care. I love these cars. I wish I had one in every color and every combination of gearbox in each color.
I've driven a 5,800 mile cross-country round trip in 20 days, taken the car to the track for 7 track days so far this year, and many, many fun backroad explorations. Top down, top up. It's two cars in one! I've spent the day in 90+ degree heat in sessions on track, turned on the air conditioner and ventilated seats and driven home in comfort. Amazing.
Please post more videos if you do them. Oh, and yes, more leggy blonde please.
