Default 981 Boxster Manual Transmission

I am having some issues with rattles under heavy acceleration.
When I got under the car, I coud not find any loose healshields or exhaust clamps but found the manual tranny linkage to have quite a bit of slop.
Does it apprar to be normal amount of play and noise?

So that black wheel isn't actually a significant part of the linkage: it's just a weight attached to the linkage to give it a bit more "heft" in the fore-aft motion of the stick. You can disconnect it and the car will still shift.

My car has about the same amount of rattle in that part. Not sure if it's actually a noise source or not. I considered taking it off and adding a shim under the bolt but haven't done so yet.

I'm curious if anyone has identified this as an actual rattle source or done anything to reduce the play? I'm still getting a bit of noise through my Numeric shift cables and am not sure if this play is contributing.

So here is the rattle that I am experiencing.
My car makes this rattling noise only under heavy load (80-100% throttle) at around 4,000 rpm.
You can hear it at 10sec mark (2nd gear at 4,000 rpm) and more clearly after 20 sec mark (3rd gear at 4,000 rpm).
Ruled out pinging/detonation and no loose exhaust cmponents or heat shield.
