Default New 987 owner with some questions...

First off...what is this plug thats just sitting unplugged in passenger side engine bay?

Sorry for the poor photo. Plug is just resting outside the engine bay under the cover on passenger side. Cant find anything to match up to it.

Secondly...im having some idle surge when stationary. It drops about 200 to 300 rpm then surges back up once every 20 seconds or so.

I ordered a nee AOS because i it was never replaced after 96k miles. I cleaned the MAF and throttle body. Any suggestions as to the surge problem or where the plug goes? Thank you in advance
