718 Cayman S - Header Development

Here at Fabspeed Motorsport USA we are proud to perform our rigorous R&D process on the newest exotic cars when they make their debut. We are always on the cutting edge of Performance Enhancing Development, and recently had a brand-new McLaren 720S in for development, showing up at our facility with only 30 miles on the dash! The Research & Development is integral to our operation here at Fabspeed, and we treat every car with the same approach--maximize power and create the best sound possible. The 718 is no different!

I was fortunate enough to have a client take delivery of his 2018 718 Cayman S recently, and he brought it to us with less than 300 miles on it! Feast your eyes on this awesome custom spec

We already offer a range of exhaust systems and performance upgrades for the 718 (web page here!), but this time we are developing...... headers!! Or in this case, one single header, given the move from a flat-six to a flat-four and the introduction of a turbo on the Cayman/Boxster Platform. Here is what the OEM header looks like:

As we continue development, I will add more to this thread! In the meantime, post up some photos of your 718's and ask any questions you might have!

It has been such a pleasure having the 718 Cayman S in for development. It posted some very promising numbers on the stock dyno run earlier this week, and we have been testing variants of our header prototypes to see which is going to make the most power and provide the best tone. Here's our development car awaiting the next prototype:

This particular customer chose our Supercup Turboback Exhaust System to go in conjunction with his header. Here's what the system looks like installed and compared to the OEM system that it replaces---our exhaust saves 36 lbs over the factory mufflers! Stay tuned for more posts as I highlight more features of this great sounding system (video below!)

Check out this video which showcases this system---you get revs, accelerations, pull offs, drive bys, in-cabin, and more!

Fabspeed Motorsport USA is proud to announce the release of 718 Boxster/Cayman ECU Tuning!

Achieve maximum power gains without sacrificing drivability or reliability. Maps are available for completely stock cars, or for cars equipped with Sport Cats, Catbypass Pipes, X-Pipe Exhausts, upgraded turbos, and more.

Once we receive your ECU, our tuner bench flashes it with the upgraded ECU map and we return it to you for easy reinstallation; no modifications to the vehicle are necessary.

Fabspeed Motorsport saves your stock/factory ECU settings so that you can revert your vehicle back to stock settings at any time.

POWER GAINS

2.0T - +60hp and +80tq
2.5T - +55hp and +80tq

See more information below or PM me for questions or forum pricing!

You and I both! The tune files are typically locked per our tuner for proprietary info

In the meantime, check out this 2018 Cayman S equipped with Fabspeed Supercup Turboback Exhaust...
