Maybe once my CPO runs out, I may want to release the potential of the 981 3.4L to be equal to the 911 3.4L. Wondering what people's results were? Was it worth it? Feel a difference? Any data (dyno, race number improvement)?

You will need to replace intake plenum and throttle body to open up intake air flow, then add a tune, to come close to the 911 3.4L HP numbers. Headers alone, or a tune alone, won't get it there. Headers and intake flow improvements, with a tune, may get you above the 911 numbers. All of this depends on the quality of the tune that you use.

Plenty of threads on RL about this, enough to take an entire day to read them all.

My 981 CGTS (PDK) was only 10 HP behind the 991 from the factory - race headers and a protune from Fabspeed saw me gain about 30 crank horsepower. So a 981S has more to gain as it will reach the same numbers. I later added DREAM2 exhaust tips which helped a little more, I'm now matching a GT4 on the straights.

A good tune alone is well capable of lifting the stock 3.4L to 350 crank horsepower.

The least effective mod of the three, I would say, and unlike the other two it doesn't stand well on its own if you want to do things in steps. It has been seen to lose power on a stock map or off the shelf tune.
