I just want to share the great experience I had with Soul. I ordered the cat back exhaust for my 987.1 which I installed with a friend in only a couple hours. The parts are beautifully finished and went on super easily. The sound is incredible as well. A really high quality tone and in my opinion a perfect volume. Drone at highway speeds is near zero and not obnoxious at all and it absolutely screams up top. I haven't had the car for that long but I wish I had done it sooner. Mike was also extremely helpful throughout the entire process and answered all my questions and just exceeded all my expectations for customer service. If you're on the edge about getting a system you just have to do it, I love mine.

My name is John Gaydos, SOUL's newest addition as their Performance Specialist. You may recognize my name from several past roles in the aftermarket performance industry, and I am now here now to take care of any of your needs. To say I’m excited to join the team and grow the company is an understatement. During my time here I aim to bring the Soul brand and product line to greater national/international recognition. Back on the thread topic...I have always preached that the biggest return on investment on the Boxster/Cayman platform is upgrading the headers. Not only is the sound improved, but it is the lowest hanging fruit on taking the performance up a considerable notch. And we have them in stock! As always an educated decision is the best decision, so give me a shout to chat about it if you're interested
Dirk wanted more sound out of his Cayman but nothing obnoxious considering he spends a lot of time on the phone in the car. He also wanted the most refined exhaust note possible and didn't want to be mistaken for a "17 year old kid". Our Performance Exhaust finished off with chrome tips met his mark!
DEVELOPMENT & SOUND: The factory header design is a very simple, mass produced component not suited for performance. By creating a unique application for the 987.1 platform, we’ve focused on sizing the runners (1.75”) correctly and incorporated high quality spike into the collectors to extract maximum power from the 3.4L engine while producing great gains from the 2.7L as well.
CONSTRUCTION: Each 987.1 header set is assembled out of T304L stainless steel and rigorously quality checked in-house. Merge spikes are incorporated to smooth exhaust flow into the collector and increase power. Thick water jet cut flanges cut to ISO 9001:2015 standards ensure perfect fitment and product longevity.
HJS CATALYSTS: We use the highest quality catalytic converters available, known for their industry–leading flow and durability. They are efficient enough to meet strict EURO 3 emission standards while still allowing for an increase in flow while greatly reducing the chance of getting a check engine light. The HJS HF design uses premium double foil winding for exceptional strength and durability.
BOLT ON AND GO: Each set of catted headers is built and tested in a thick gauge aluminum fixture (which prevents warping) to ensure perfect fitment. New high grade hardware is included for the header to exhaust flange.
Is the 987.2 valve controller option available for the 987.1 performance or competition packages?.....
Thank you for asking. We do not offer a valved system for the 987.1. Our Performance Exhaust is well engineered to provide a refined sound when off throttle and a roar when on it.
