Default Weird issue with center console buttons

Hi,
I have an issue with a 2011 manufactured 987.2

Several buttons on the center console are not working:

- heated seats
- rear defroster
- ac off
- recirculate

- up/down temp
- several other climate buttons (not all)

Any one had similar issues?

Thanks

Have you checked the fuses? I had similar issue where PSE, Sport and Sport Chrono were not working, among other things like the pax footwell 12V outlet. At least some of them turned out to be either bad/missing/wrong fuses.

They all look to be in place and good shape

Sounds like you need to test the fuses. The will need to be tested for continuity with a multimeter.

You can tell an over-current blown fuse by looking at it, but you can't tell if it's good just by looking at it - could have a hairline crack caused by stress cycles. You need a meter, or just replace the one(s) that covers what doesn't work.

Dealer confirmed today a new unit will be needed, for both panels with issues. Warranty will cover it so

Glad it's covered under warranty. I'm guessing you still have CPO Warranty on your car which is a nice perk.

I am curious though why it would have failed in the first place. If you can glean any information from the dealer that would be a benefit to the group here should anyone else experience the same issue.
