Default 987 seat fastening bolt question

It appears that each seat is held in by 4 bolts to the floorboard. The front bolts have a plastic cover over them. I don't want to crack the plastic. What's the trick to removing them to access the bolts underneath?

There is a small cut out tab that you need to lift up with a small screwdriver or similar, get a good grip while holding the tab up then pull straight forward. The seat bolts are E12 torx, so you need an E12 socket. If removing the seats there is also an electrical connector you need to disconnect. Been awhile since I did a seat swap but iirc there is a slide piece that you shift outward to release the connector. Hope that helps

And don't start the car with the seat disconnected from the wire harness or your airbag warning light will probably come on. And stay on... Ask me how I know.
