I'm a fan of superchargers as they increase horsepower without affecting the power delivery. My C32 AMG was great fun and the power didn't let up, very much like a V8's power delivery. I think the primary issue with superchargers is that they don't improve gas mileage, at least I don't recall any such improvements.

SC's also tend to generate a LOT of heat (my last car was a B8.5 S4). That may be fine for casual street cruising, but not so much for HPDE's and running hard in the summer. Even with the intercooler doing what it could, S4's routinely see 170+ degree intake air temps (IAT's). No bueno.

beautiful car but beyond my budget and turbo lag...

test drove f type r awd....actually really liked it...more of a GT which I think is beginning to fit me more than a sportscar like the cayman... awesome sound and power... low end torque like crazy...crisp shifting tranny....it definitely is the car i want next...put a real smile on my face
