Would I be correct in assuming you don't follow air cooled values very closely?

I'm well aware of the climbing prices for the air cooled units, my brother had a 911T, however in general a twenty year old ride IMO is still going to total more quickly than say a modern GT3

Also keep in mind that an older car may not have been totaled yesterday. An air cooled car totaled 15-20 years ago may not have taken a great deal of damage. Today, different story.

That's a sweet looking car! Too bad it's WORTHLESS!!!

You'll never be able to sell it. Most insurance companies will not write comprehensive insurance on a salvage title, liability only. So if you wreck it, or it's stolen, too bad, you get nothing. Why? Because it's WORTHLESS and they won't insure it.

Run away.

Looks like the threat of buying this car has passed since bids are now above 40k...

ARC, there are people out there that turn Fiero's into fake Ferrari cars complete with Pininfarina badges too, it doesn't mean you should replicate the endeavor. Stay patient and hopefully your restraint will be rewarded with the right car for you, best of luck.
