2010 997.2 base vs 2013 981S
I have a 2005 987S and planning to upgrade. I believe I can sell my Boxster here in Portugal for 38.000€. Have to options:
2010 997.2 cabrio, 64.000kms, PSE, PASM,sport chrono,...72.000€
2013 981S 5900kms, sport chrono, PASM: 71.000€
Please tell me your ideas in terms of depreciation and feeling of the car.
I love the rev matching on the 981....

981, any day of the week.
Naturally you will get a very different opinion if you ask in the 997 section.

991s owner here with a 2016 cayman S loaner for the weekend.
I instantly fell in love with the cayman. The nimbleness is insane. No PASM on the cayman which I have on my 911... better (more fun) for having fun but dreadful for highway driving. The engine makes power a lot easier due to the engine location and weight of the car. It's not as fast but to extract the same amount of fun from the cars puts the 911 in take me to jail range.
The cayman is a fantastic little toy and more fun. The size was an issue for me. Legroom is needed in my case being 6'4" but it wasn't unlivable in the cayman. In the inside felt a lot smaller than the delta actually is due to the back seats in the 911. Really enjoyed my weekend with the cayman but it's not as all arounder as the 911.
I'd recommend a manual( you guys are lucky to get the 6 speed) and no pasm unless you're getting paid for lap times.
If it's your only car, then the 911 is a lot more car.

Are you sure you understand what PASM is and how it works?
