My lease experience is zero, just so you know.

What's important to you? The money factor? The lease payment amount? The miles/per year? The residual value? My answer would be all of the above. But maybe you can cut a better deal if you don't need 12K/year miles but say only 10K?

A money factor of 0.0025 is comparable to 6.0% annual interest. That seems kind of high on a new car. You should be knowledgeable about new car interest rates in your area.

While I have never leased a car my understanding is to negotiate like you are buying the car and strive for the lowest "purchase price" then when it comes time to sign the paperwork switch to a lease.

'course, you should know the particulars of the lease beforehand, the money factor, the other things, so the finance officer doesn't try to make back in his office via the lease agreement what the sales manager gave away on the sales floor.

Also, before you sign the lease be sure you read the lease fine print to understand the process of turning the car back in. There have been reports that lessees have been faced with some rather big service bills to say replace worn tires or worn brakes when bringing the car back.

you negotiate every thing upfront
price of car is the most important because that can vary by a lot
RV : residual value , this is set by the bank or in this case PFS and can't be changed by the dealer. PFS change that number every month depending on supply and demand , also the number changes depending on the miles requested per year.
MF or interest rate, this is also determined by PFS , but they allow dealers to adjust that upward to a certain extent so they help the dealers send them the business rather than go to outside banks
acquisition fee is determined by PFS but again they allow the dealer to markup some what like from 795 to 1095.
fee when you return the car ... can be waived if you lease another porsche
wear and tear , that can be a little tricky but usually most companies follow certain guidelines , and most dealers are pushing extra insurance for wear and tear on a lease that you can buy and it will protect you up to a certain amount like 7500 dollars

Oh that's a nice looking car. The white softens the lines. Great. Just great. Now I want one.

So you are Benicia eh? Did you buy at Stead Porsche? (Nice place to buy. I bought my 2008 Cayman S at Stead. Doesn't look like Stead Porsche though unless the neighborhood's changed dramatically.)

Nice! Love that flat6. It's from Carlsen Porsche in Redwood City. A top notch experience!

My only interaction with Carlsen was when I went there after losing my Cayman S to an accident (not my fault!).

The dealer had a nice Boxster RS60 in some exterior grey color and a red interior. The car was very nice looking and the discount substantial but I wanted another Cayman S, not another Boxster.

So salesman walked me a few hundred feet to a large and rather shabby looking building. We went inside and it was packed with new Porsche models. There was a new Cayman in there but I wasn't interested enough to have him go to the trouble to bring it out for a test drive.

Ended up finding a nice low miles pristine 2003 996 Turbo at Fletcher-Jones in Fremont.

Stolen..breaks my heart to hear but I don't like Cameros anyway a 66/67 classic mustang is my weakness..I picked the white cayman S.. kinda stuck with what was in inventory. 20" inch satin finished wheels. My daily driver... good thing I'm only a housewife. No commute! Who is a PCA member?
