Dyno results are in! Take a look below - Stock baseline vs. Turboback/Headers vs. ECU Tune/Turboback/Headers.

It sounds muscular but doesn’t really crescendo like the 6... Porsche’s fault. But the exhaust sounds mean.

Streetsport Catback, much prefer this sound as heard in these videos, but don't think it's a valid comparison because of different environments. 1st one outside is likely much closer to actual sound, 2nd in garage has some echoing to distort the actual sound. Do any of your exh. systems work in conjunction with PSE ?

Our Streetsport Catback/Supercup Turboback are non-valved systems. If you are looking to retain the PSE functionality but still pick up more power/exhaust tone, I'd add our HJS 200 Cell Sport Cat in conjunction with OEM PSE.

Check out this 718 Cayman 2.0T that came in for our Supercup Turboback w/Sport Cat and BMC F1 Air Filter. The improvement is truly night and day!

Customer review says it all: "Huge thumbs up!! Awesome upgrade. The car sounds fabulous. Everything I expected. Nice noticeable increase in responsiveness, boost and power."

I agree with this, but I'll also add that anyone who thinks this car sounds "bad" with this exhaust, should be questioned if they're an enthusiast or a fanboy.

If I had a 718 I'd consider this an essential upgrade.

On a 2018 718S, does your Sport Catalytic Converter, in conjunction with the factory sport exhaust, increase noise?

Does it make any significant power/torque difference?

Very well said

Yes it does! We use premium HJS 200 Cell Cats to prevent any CELs while also picking up a throaty, sportier exhaust tone. With our Sport Cat alone, we saw upwards of +13whp/17ft-lbs @ 4,000RPM.

Do you want to add power and unlock the beautiful sound of your 718 Boxster/Cayman? Look no further than our favorite combo of our Porsche 718 Cat Bypass Pipe and ECU Tune.

The factory exhaust utilizes a very restrictive catalytic converter that doesn't allow the exhaust to breathe freely like these amazing Porsche engines are meant to. The Fabspeed Porsche 718 Cat Bypass Pipe removes this restrictive OEM catalytic converter for a much less restrictive straight through pipe, allowing maximum airflow and unlocking that glorious Porsche sound.

The factory exhaust pipe that contains the catalytic converter is a rather large component, and making a full replacement would be rather costly. We decided that incorporating a Torca clamp and cutting the exhaust pipe just after the catalytic converter would be the most efficient and effective route. The main benefit of these Torca clamps is that they can be used again and again if the factory catalytic converter was to be reinstalled.

Our Fabspeed Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman Fabspeed ECU Tune paired with our Fabspeed Porsche 718 Cat Bypass pipe really brings these cars to life and alleviates any hesitation issues.

Tunes are available for completely stock cars, or for cars equipped with Sport Cats, Cat Bypass Pipes, X-Pipe Exhausts, upgraded turbos, and more.
We have put in countless hours testing on the Dyno to ensure the highest quality results. Here are the expected power gains on a stock car:
· 2.0T - +60hp and +80tq
· 2.5T - +55hp and +80tq
This upgrade requires you to send us your ECU for re-programming. The ECU will be tuned within 24-48 hours of receiving it and Fabspeed will then ship back the ECU for reinstallation.
Within 24-48 hours of receiving your ECU, our tuner bench flashes it with the upgraded ECU map, then we return it to you for easy reinstallation; no modifications to the vehicle are necessary.

Hi Philips, I have read on other forum and also here as well how you guys don't keep up with your one week to ship promise. Should that be the case, do you refund the entire fee should the customer change their mind? Also, the video in this tread has a disclosure to it that you were using a base model, is that correct and does that let me know what to expect sound wise? Thanks for your response.

Hello Aolona,
Absolutely if you changed your mind and did not want the exhaust anymore before the exhaust shipped out we would refund your money. With that being said we do not have a one week shipping promise. We build each exhaust for each customer and do not run with stock parts sitting on our shelves, therefore it depends on how busy we are dictates our shipping time. We do try and accommodate our customers and specific ship dates if there is a track event or something very specific but no promises. Mostly we try and give realistic build and shipping times. We started the system being built on the base model but we have now fit the system on all level of the 718.

After doing the research, design and testing we have decided not to move forward with the headers. We noticed negligible gains and no change to the exhaust note.

Hey Everyone,

Came across a great video of a Porsche 718 Cayman GTS owner who did an in-depth review on our Supercup Exhaust and thought I'd share this . He really goes into the details and showcases the sound level differences when operating in the different vehicle modes. I recommend anyone out there thinking about upgrading the exhaust on their vehicle to watch this video to get a good understanding of the sound comparison between the stock muffler and Fabspeed.

Enjoy the video and we wish you a safe and happy 4th of July from Fabspeed!
