At the risk of taking this thread off-topic, I'll try to reply briefly. Overall, I love it, but it has some issues that I expected coming into it.
Pros - practicality (HUGE trunk); fantastic sound; 5 seats; great engine; large cruiser feel
Cons - large cruiser feel... it's definitely one of those cars that feels smaller when you drive it fast, but Panamera still feels more nimble. The transmission is relatively poor, and I have the best version of it (2016 was updated)

Alright, I'm definitely going. However, I'll have my toddler son w/ me, so I won't be going too crazy on the way down. Will still see if I can find a scenic route down there.

Cliffjumper, I bet you anything that your car is the car I passed on... Can't have been too many in Bay Area with that color.. Bought it from Marin Mercedes?... Best e63 I'd seen.. Congrats on the purchase.

What car will you be driving on Saturday?.. Did you see my event post in NORCAL Porsche group on Fb? Look forward to meeting. We can take it slow... Not many different routes to get there... Skyline to backside of hwy 9... As scenic and curvy as it gets

Ha, maybe you'll bet me your Porsche? I ordered my car and got one of the last builds so I could get the specific options I wanted and picked it up via Euro Delivery. Ordered in Dec 2015 and only got it in the US in mid June.

Will be driving the E63. Unfortunately, due to parking and practicality, I bought this in lieu of a Porsche after renting a 911 for a weekend and realizing it doesn't work given how frequently I have my kids with me. Hopefully when we move out to the burbs in a year or two, I can pick up a 3rd car.

I'm not a member of the FB group (just submitted a request though).

A fast wagon with a v8 is a worth exception.. Just slap a Porsche badge on the meecedes hood ornament and we'll pretend it's the new panamera.

Arrive at Alice's whenever, leave for canepa by 830am.

What's "Alice's"? I was planning on leaving earlier to get a nice drive in and beat traffic, but with a kid in tow, I may not be able to leave until 8am anyway. I'll PM you my # so perhaps we can meet up at Canepa, even if I miss the SF drive down.

YES!.. the drive down to Canepa through highway 9 is pretty spectacular.. you're going to love it.
