It's just because it's the newest hottest thing out right now.
You'll probably see discussion shift towards the 718 once they release later this year and people start talking about the pluses/minuses, intricacies, and ownership experience of that platform.

I believe that the GT4 should get it's own sub-forum. That car is in it's own league. If they need help with changing out lights or trim panels and such, they can come here to get that info. But to group all caymans, all boxsters, all spyders, and the GT4 all in one group is too much...add in older models like the 987 (sorry guys) just doesn't even make sense.
