Say goodbye to CDR...
I love listening to the engine but as my Spyder is a DD, and this was the first P-car I didn't order but bought off the lot, I really like my music and have been disappointed in the base CDR. The car came with CDR/Bose/sat and sounded OK but I had given up my BT audio, Nav, and most annoyingingly, the ability to see the names of the Sat stations in my presets! I started looking around at what my options were and after getting comfortable with risking modifying the interior of my "baby", I settled on allowing a reputable local company replace my radio.
Just drove home after replacing the CDR with a Pioneer, new amp and Satellite receiver. Sounds great and now have full access, theoretically, to all android apps and android auto. Thought the appearance was also sharp, great work Dedona.

Yeah, I think the interface is awkward and rather dull so your screen is definitely an improvement. I drive so infrequently that every time I get in the car I have to relearn everything about the PCM - it's a headache. Jukebox is my default goto.

Talked to the AUdio guy here be he said upgrading the amp and changing the radio would significantly improve sound....it's definitely better, haven't got the EQ programmed to the way I like it though yet. Much better menus, options and seamless BT audio interface, well worth it.

Well worth the upgrade...change the radio unit and upgrade the amp. THis process is going to make me consider leaving the radio off all future cars I order and adding later....seems higher quality, more options, and less expensive. There is some ease of use lost by not having stations appearing on dashboard unit anymore, but I rarely used that.
