Such beautiful Gen-1 shots. Well done!

Question - where were these taken?

I took it to a local tire/susp shop owned by an SCCA instructor. Apparently Porsche HQ uses their shop to set up their press cars before a car launch. The tech who worked on my car asked what kind of driving I like to do and where if at all I track my cars. So he went to town on the car with the alignment. I do have spacers installed to make the wheels a bit more flush but basically he maxed out the cambers and adjusted toe and some other params. Car handling was transformed. I am on stock Pirellis. After my AMP and Road Atlanta track days (doing low to mid 1.40s at RA in novice solo class my first time in the Spyder) I took the car back in to look at tire wear and he said all was good and tires were wearing really nicely. Showed me how hard I was cornering by the lines of wear on the extreme shoulder of the tire. Anyway marked difference in handling. I would understeer very easily in the twisties now I understeer only because the tires have not come up to temp. And if I am really hamfisting it. Car is starting to rotate harder I get on the gas and that is still a feeling I am not completely comfortable with lol. Especially on Blood Mountain. At AMP couple of the low speed tight corners where you get on the gas I feel the car 'dragging' a bit I guess it's the PTV working or something. I don't like that feeling honestly. But other than that the car's handling is terrific. Those GT3s had no idea what hit them

I am looking forward to trying out the next gen GT4. Hoping it sticks with the NA motor or else turbo charged motor here I come!

Thanks for the comments.
The first picture was taken on the northern California coast.
The second is on Highway 20 in Washington state just east of Colonial Creek campground we are on our way to the Porsche parade in Spokane..
The third is in eastern Washington some backroad somewhere we enjoy them all.

My user name is the name we gave our " Buggy". Here are his pictures. There are some videos on his webpage.

Took the Spyder out for a nice spin temps were a brisk 37 degrees. Can’t find myself to drive with the top up, this car never get old.

Nice! Once it gets below 45 and you’re out for a while the cold air can sink in but the car is so engaging you don’t really realize it until you stop. Hard to believe you still have snow on the ground in Georgia!

I picked up a stable mate for the Spyder. Intended use, sharing daily driver duties with the Cayenne. This is an 05 base Carrera with 99k miles. It’s well broken in. :-)

Now that's what I like to see -- snow on the ground with the top down! Well done, Mav Who says us So Cal guys are a bunch of warm weather weenies? Rubbish!

You gotta get some of these. Warm as can be this time of year when you've got the top down. Mine don't see much use in the summer, but boy, am I glad to have them this time of year. These with the heater on full blast and you're good to go. Added bonus: They're guaranteed to bring out your inner Fangio

I love my Range Rover... would be tough to get me to agree to switch to a Cayenne. That said, I have thought about adding an air cooled built 964 turbo to the stable eventually. Not a huge 993 fan... and want RWD.

Had the perfect light at sunset a few weeks ago. Had to have an impromptu photoshoot in the bank parking lot.

Default Something a little different...

Here's something a little different. As sunshine is pretty scarce these days the photographer, Willie Waung, and I had to do the shoot in the dark...
