Default TPC Racing 981 Stage 1 ECU Tuning Now Available!

After weeks of dyno pulls and creating custom tuning files, TPC Racing is proud to announce that our Stage 1 ECU tune for the 981 is now available via the Cobb Tuning Accessport! Cobb had been hard at work cracking the code for the 981, and we couldn't have been more excited when they released its support earlier in November.

After receiving our Accessport's, we spent a few days using the Cobb Tuning base map and street testing the tune for the 981. With all the respect to Cobb for producing an excellent product and cracking the factory ECU code to make it possible, we felt that there was still untapped potential in the tuning.

Our first observation was that gains from the Accessport OTS maps were apparent but we were able to extract more power safely from this car via a TPC Racing custom tune on the Accessport. Using the Accessport and the Cobb Tuning software, we modified parameters in the torque load tables, ignition tables, throttle tables, and intake cam tables. After working on these various tables and putting hours of dyno testing on our TPC Racing 981, we were able to achieve an additional 33 wheel horsepower!

Is it possible to post the before and after dyno results for a base Cayman, and how much is the entire package to achieve this? Cheers

We have not had a 2.7L 981 in for ECU tuning yet. We do have a 2.7L 981 client that decided to go for a turbo kit and that car will hit the dyno this week. For the 2.7L, we are hoping to get over 15whp with the ECU tune. Once we have results, we will post them.

If you purchase the Accessport from us, the custom tune is an additional $500.00.
