Today I installed Fabspeed race headers and updated to Cobb stage 2 tune. Quiet with the flaps closed (quiet for me - but I usually am cranking Metallica...) Then with the flaps open, its glorious noise like seeing the who-> live... only one comment... two hours? more like four and I even have a lift... also just buy Craftsman's set of external torx and you wont have to mod any tools.... one step they left out was to take off the carpet that covers the front underside of the motor, everything else was quite simple.... I love it...

Spyder is in for wheel painting.. we found the champagne/white gold Porsche paint which matches with the GT2RS wheels, which then receives a matt clear coat to give this look. center caps will be black with the painted Porsche crest in the middle. She will be ready tomorrow.

Good luck! It's nice to have the RS as an example of how the color will look on your car. Hope it comes out to your liking.

These are gonna look great if they
are anything like the GT2RS color!

I'm impressed you can drive & park in the city
and not scuff the wheels...

Only occasionally parked in street... sometimes leave it outside my garage then it's parked inside my fiancé's garage. We are obsessively careful about it

Ok, so here is the result.. I'm 75% happy with it, I'll explain why.

I think the color is spot on, as it should be as we looked up te actual Porsche paint code and matched it. My mistake was in requesting a satin finish, whereas I realize now the RS wheels are actually a glossy finish. If I weren't going for an exact match, these wheels look really good to me. Gloss would give more shadowing as on the RS. However, I spoke to the shop and they are OK with going to a gloss clear coat if I'm not happy.

the iphone is also removing the gold look, these look almost white in pictures but i wanted to post without any filters. i'm going to take a few more pics as the sun sets for better accuracy.

I asked for the center caps to be painted black, which I really love.

I'm including the GT2 RS wheel picture for comparison.

FWIW, I'm digging the satin and the caps are KILLER.

Maybe if you want, try one wheel in gloss and see how it looks compared to the satin.

Really nice! Congrats!

Very cool! I absolutely love the gold and had planned on doing the same on my Spyder. The thinking was to do the sticker and all the silver trim in the gold.

Personally I would go for the gloss, I think it will look even better!

well I dyno'd it stock at 337 rwhp.

now it has fabspeed race headers, cobb stg 2, k&n, forgeline wheels, led sidemarkers, 917 shift ****, weathertech mats quickvue backup cam...

I am sure those side markers and shift **** make it go faster but the weathertech mats and backup cam take away those gains. LOL

In short, its faster and louder now.
