What version of LWBS will Spyder and GT4 buyers get
Some LWBS look much different then the beautiful 918 type ones on the Porsche configurator with the exposed carbon fiber. There's also a version with a cushion in the middle.
Anyone in the USA get their GT4 or Spyder with LWBS care to comment. Thanks in advance.

The buckets should be the same in both cars. I have heard that another country (can't think of which off the top of my head) was having the buckets from the 987 gen installed; not sure if this has been confirmed though. As far as the cushion in the headrest; it's a safety thing in the US and probably a few other countries, however it is removable to reveal the carbon fiber underneath it.

the cushion in the middle comes standard on the US models (and probably others), but is easily removable. The Spyder and GT4 have the same seats except for the model stitching on the headrests. The GT4 and Spyder have 981-style seats - close but not the same.
987 Carbon buckets are available outside the US. But US regs cause the seat to not be installable unless you can deal with an airbag warning light because the seat connectors are not the same.

So these are not the production Spyder/GT4 LWBS
but rather these

The top one (non height adjustable but seating angle adjustable) is the folding GT2 seat that is standard in some countries.
The lower one (height adjustable) is the LWBS the US refers to which is an optional item in those countries that has the top one as standard.

Thanks for clarifying so in the USA we will get this LWBS

The newer 918 style seat has electric height adjustment and moves forward and back. Seat back angle is fixed and cannot be folded forward to access the back seat area.
I own or have owned several cars with either the GT2 seats or the 918 seats. It's really not that confusing. . .

Three Wheelin'
I didn't realise you could adjust the angle of the whole seat on the top one. Now I'm not sure which to go for.
Sports buckets (top ones)
- Angle adjustable (albeit using bolts)
- No electric motor to add weight/go wrong. I always have seats set to bottom anyway
- Standard fit in UK where as full buckets are £971 option
- Have seat heating (v. useful in a drop top as it opens up more weeks of the year)
Full buckets (bottom ones)
- Look like they might actually sit lower at their lowest setting
- Are they lighter weight, even with the electric adjustment?
- Possibly slightly more buckety - i.e. should hold you in better while cornering at 1.5G
Any advice taken gladly from those with experience of both.

The sport buckets P03 (folding backs) fit me tighter around the hips and shoulder than the newer P11 (fixed back) ones. The new ones are definitely wider.
