mesh grill screens for 981 Cayman S?
Looking at a new Cayman S, and not crazy about the unprotected front radiators - does anyone know of a source for mesh screens designed to properly fit the left & right openings in the front bumper and keep debris out?
I found some for 987s, but not the 981s...
Thanks in advance.

Zunsport in the UK makes screens for the 981 (not sure if they ship to the States). They only mention the 981 Boxster, but I believe it should be the same for a 981 Cayman.

Should be only a matter of time before Zunsport comes out with screens for 981 Caymans. $$ but I've heard many good things about them. p.s. Oh, and they do ship to US.
Porschemesh makes them for 987 and 986 but that site has not been the same since the owner, late John Copeland, passed away. I could be wrong, but I highly doubt they'll come out with mesh screens for 981...
For the record, I have mesh screens for my Spyder from porschemesh (sides and center) and like them a lot.
p.s. I just checked Zunsport and it appears that they only sell 981 mesh as a complete set (front & rear +/- side intakes) - wasn't so for 987. Maybe you can ask them if you can buy just the front mesh/grilles to save some $.

I never bought them for my 987, but you're correct. I forgot the fog lamps/day time running lamps on 987.2s were different on the Boxsters & Caymans and would affect the design of the front side grills.
Hopefully, there will be a Cayman set soon.

I have the Porschemesh on my Spyder as well and swear by them. No more leaves, large bugs or stones to damage/clog the radiators. The service tech at my last dealer had recommended them to me after my first service and I installed them shortly after that. For the record if your car doesn't see weather frequently you can use double side tape instead of glue to perform the install. John said others had tried and failed but mine have stayed on even after some higher speed runs.

Just be careful. I put grill mesh on my Cayman and it caused it to run hot. They blocked enough airflow when it was over 90 degrees out to make the coolant run hot. No issues once I removed the mesh.
With the engine hidden in the middle, the Boxsters and Caymans need more air to cool than the 911.
