I have scraped my black brake coolers when backing out of the driveway multiple times. There really isn't much I can do about it other than buying the ramps that fit into the concrete drainage and the end of the driveway.
Having said that, I can't see any visible scarring on the two intakes. As others have noted, they are disposable and cheap to replace relatively speaking.
