First off, decide which organization (PCA, NASA, SCCA) you want to run with and then build a car that is competitive in the specific class. In PCA Caymans are very competitive in H, I and GTB1. Interseries cars are somewhat orphans in PCA. Buying an already built car with consistent podium finishes is the cheapest way to go.

I think PDK has a great future in racing but be prepared for PDK cars to be penalized with ballast to compensate their performance advantage over the manual cars.
