Sweet!!! Congrats! THE best color combo for that car, IMO. Maybe someday for me... Enjoy the car! (and the brake pedal!)

Wow, I love it! It seems that the only car that would be an upgrade to the Spyder is the GT3 RS stripped and with sport buckets. Ultimate track car.

So did you sell the Spyder or the R?

Just an opinion but as much as I appreciate how cool that 911 is I'm not a fanclub member of the wing. I like the demure ducktail that RUF used on their new limited Turbo way better.

The wing works great as a table when it's time for lunch at a DE event.

Oh, khooni, you lucky bast... (cough) I mean, congrats!!

On the subject of color, my fav is Aqua Blue with red stripes/decal. A close 2nd would be CW with red stripes.

On the subject of the wing, I love the RS wing and decals! (center locks and PCCB, not so much..) They're what make the RS (obviously among many other things) and sets it apart from the "regular" GT3. Are they loud? Heck, yeah. But GT3 RS is a loud car.

Thanks.

I sold the CR for the RS. I loved the CR and I still do. It made great sense as a daily driver but I don't drive to work and when a CPO car came up with 5,000 miles, clubsport package and Aqua blue, I literally jumped on it. The trade in price for my CR was brutal but, the RS was also well priced so ......

It doesn't have the lift kit so the front brake ducts are catching the incline to my driveway. It's a consumable and I already have a spare set. So far the front lip seems fine.
As for PCCBs, it wasn't a requisite for me and Joe knows how I love my mushy brakes, so I accepted that this car is for track environments that need hard usage, rather than road use. However, the engine is rather special and exhausts are a bit loud.

I am using the plates of the previous owner so whilst driving through central london with gawkers shouting WOW at me wasn't all that fun. Now that I am safely back home after a 160 miles trip from Wales, I am still trying to calm down and soak in the fact that an RS is sitting in the garage. TBH, track duties will be split between the spyder and the RS; with spyder doing the regular trackdays and the RS on more special occasions.

Joe, you have to try this............... the rear window is plastic... super cool

ok. now the impt bits. my drive home mainly consisted of highways. Weighting/feel on the steering wheel is par with the CR. I mean get this.... the CR has as good steering as the RS. To porschepiles that's always been one of the defining characteristics of a great drive and I actually prefer the less notchy CR gearbox although when warmed up the RS box is as good. So without even pushing the car, the cr can compare on 2 very important areas of steering and gearbox...... Told you guys that CR/spyders are awesome cars/..............

Let's just not discuss the engine......

Love the RS in every way. Wing and decals. I wouldn't change a thing (ok, maybe centerlocks, but the wheels are perfect). Burn through the PCCB rotors and switch to steels and track pads when it's time. I thought you were leaning towards selling the spyder? Good call in the end.

Love the Titanium exhaust, that should have been standard on the Spyder and CR's. Still bothers me that Porsche didn't do it.

The engine, I bet it's a jewel! I really never felt like the Spyder was underpowered but I must admit that more torque down low would be nice.

So khooni you never followed up on the aligment of your Spyder, was it off or not? Also did changing the alignment change the steering feel?

Congratulations, khooni, and welcome to RS ownership!

Was it the brake pedal that decided it for you?
