Making my car sound louder

How much are the headers with sports cat for member pricing? How much time do I have to calculate for installation? Drone is unacceptable for me - will this solution be drone free? Thank you Alex!

maybe not completely related, but I listened to a set of Fabspeed mufflers (-2cats) on a 981 this past weekend. Awesome sound. I have the PSE, and the Fabspeed was just awesome. I would have taken them but I don't believe the wife would be as in love with the sound when she drives it.

Going from 987.1S to 987.2S, I felt a distinct lack of sound in the stock setup. A remus (race with no secondary cats) cured that. Not overly loud, still very civilized but high/exotic/sophisticated sounding at high rpm's. I might sell my car soon at which point my remus (with carbon tips) will be available.

987 Boxster Fabspeed Race Exhaust
I have a 2 month old 987 Boxster Fabspeed Race Exhaust with less than 400 miles on it, sounds great but for me ended up being too loud for a daily driver. I am asking $900 and that includes shipping. Fits all 987.1 and 987.2 Cayman and Boxsters 2005 thru 2012. List price new is $1495.

On the 987-2, both the primary and secondary cats are inside the manifolds.
There are no secondary cats inside the left and right exhausts.
So if you change only the exhausts on these gen2 cars, you are NOT deleting any cats.
The original exhausts of the 987-2 might look as if there is a cat, but there is nothing on the inside.
The 987-1 has the primary cats in the manifolds and the secondary pair of cats are inside the exhausts.
Hence the confusion for some.
If you want a nice sounding exhaust with a great value for money, check out our GT exhaust

Really. That is very interesting. That would mean that many of the 987.2 exhausts being sold are advertised incorrectly. That would also finally explain why the 987.2 exhausts are much quieter than 987.1.

Oh snap! R&D is so overrated..

No kidding. So much for trusting that the manufacturers actually verify what they are advertising.
Now I'm even more skeptical about supposed power gains on these exhausts. I've always thought it was mostly placebo effect.

I will admit that I'm disappointed that a factory sport exhaust weighs more than standard exhaust, it doesn't make any sense on so many levels.
