Sounds great.

So the mod allows you to retain the dash on/off switch, but eliminates the 20-40mph cutout only? Or is the PSE now in "loud" mode all of the time?

The PSE is on at all times
Spyder had the PSE fitted by the original owner.
Sounded ok on collection , but the PSE kept cutting out at 20-40mph.
It's well worth going for the mod !

Can you provide a link to the mod. I couldn't find it through the search. I don't notice a cutting out of the PSE between 20-40mph, but I've read that it happens. It sounds loud all the time to me, but I'd like to check.

Easiest way would be to disconnect the harness that goes to the solenoid that controls the vacuum line that goes to the PSE. It's on a bracket on top of the Engine.

BTW: My old 2008 Cayman S Sport with PSE used to have the cutout in sound when PSE was on based on MPH, but my 2012 Cayman R with PSE does not have the cutout in sound. So it might be that your 2011 Spyder is not cutting out since the sound requirements in Europe and the US are different and Porsche finally realized that.

You can also buy a remote control module from carnewal.be to bypass the porsch control and have a on-off switch.

On almost all the time, untill i get tired of the sound on long drives
