Wow, are others finding prices like that on the remaining new ones? I found a new one at a dealer near me, MSRP is around $69K and they want to sell it for $60k. Just wanted to know if the $55-53k I'm hearing about is realistic, a one time special deal, or the result of promising to name a first born after the dealership and donating a cornea to the dealership's owner.

Thanks in advance and you guys have some really beautiful cars.
Best regards,
Dino

One thing I've noticed is although the edition numbers are fairly spread out from low to high on those who have posted here, none on the list have what I would call 'special' numbers like '0666' or '0880' or '1111' or even your basic '1000'... where are the '1234's and '0007's I wonder? The home German market maybe?

The German forum RS60 registry has about 40 cars. I have seen #666, #987, and #1,960. My car at #213 is by far the lowest number on that list.

Not sure if you are talking new, used, or CPO and what the mileage is on the car you are looking at in Ohio. However, I looked at 2 cars here in the North East and neither dealer was selling their cars for anything close to $50K. My car had 122 miles on it, was CPO'd by the dealer, and the warranty is good until January 2015. The price was $56K. The other car I looked at had a red interior, about $2K less in options and the dealer with that car wanted more $$$. They listed their car as new, it was not CPO'd, but they had started the warranty back in July of 08, so even if they CPO'd it, the warranty would end about 6 months before my warranty ends.

Not sure if that helps you.
Best regards,
Dino

Dino: No surprise, when I purchased mine in Feb 09.I knew that Red interior was more desirable and fetched a higher price, I still see that these vehicles are holding up in price more than 911 except the RS.
However the price range has not been consistant...I was told by one owner that he acquired his New/Red past summer for 50K, this IMO should have set the benchmark..but I still see sellers asking for more and buyers paying up for them....I feel good owning one.
Again Congrats.

Actually, the interior color had nothing to do with pricing. Even when I looked on the net there seemed to be more red cars for sale. Intially, I was told I could have the red car for $55K. Then I get there and they start working numbers with $58.5. Then I reminded them they said ok to $55K, but they wanted me to use some rediculous financing thing they had which would have driven the cost up significantly over the full gray which had $2,000 more in options and was $56K. I liked both colors equally, but perfered the options on the full gray and I liked the the dealer with the gray was not playing funny numbers games.

If anyone has been able to buy a new one for $50K, it must be a really desperate dealer. Used ones with a few thousand miles maybe, but a new ones for that amount, I'd be really surprised. I could not find a single new one for that amount.

Best regards,
Dino

hey dino944 - nice car

i love the full grey on the RS - the black roof on the Gt silver is pretty killer.

i suspect in time these ones will command the premium as there are very few relative to the red versions. i am guessing they are 15% or less of the 1960 produced.

anyway - enjoy and get some pictures up

Hi Cpa4S,

Thanks for the info about production. I'm totally in love with the color combination. I try to take some photos one of these days. All I have so far are a few bad camera photos.

Best regards,
Dino
