Since ive not had a boxster before, and that is a perfect side shot, Can anyone take that pic and draw a line where the rear floor might be? and might it be lower in the area where the "trunk" is in the roadster? I mean do you think it will be a flat floor or a stepped floor?

I would guess it would be a stepped trunk/parcel shelf. Something like this..?

Well, maybe not quite that high, but I think they'll have to step it. The Boxster rear trunk is pretty shallow right now (yet still fits a set of golf clubs) and steps up to go over the motor. I would be afraid that if they went with a flat shelf all across, they'd have to make the rear trunk even more shallow.

But you never know? I could be thinking of "folded top mass" vs motor clearance, so...???

Either way, I'm sure you'll be able to use the trunk AND the shelf...it just makes sense.

yeah well im thinking of where the top of the motor is, I dont mind a step so much. However lets also cross our fingers that the car is not a hatchback like the 996 targa was, that was cool yet stupid at the same time

I would venture to think it will be...sorry. May not be cool, but will be practical.

I'm betting it will be a hatchback, after all we will need access to the engine cover.

Hey can anyone take the pic and put in the rear window? and how about some different colors? preferably Riviera blue. and maybe a nice bright metalic green

ALso im wondering whats up with the side intake? I wonder why would they bother to mask it if it was the same as the coupe? I thinking it might be more like the Carrera GT. can anyone do anything there too?

I'm thinking one long piece, looking something like the new Beetle hatch...part glass, part trunklid. (??)
